Dogs
Dogs are one of the most common animals to go to war. This is also true in World War II, when thousands of dogs, some born to fight and some old pets, were sent to work for various parts of the military. They delivered messages, stood guard at posts, watched out for the enemy, helped their human companions fight, boosted morale, and overall were an important aspect of such a large war.
